As an original member of Devo, Bob Casale was there in the trenches with me from the beginning. He was my level-headed brother, a solid performer and talented audio engineer, always giving more than he got. He was excited about the possibility of Mark Mothersbaugh allowing Devo to play shows again. His sudden death from conditions that lead to heart failure came as a total shock to us all.  — Gerald Casale, Devo founder.

A message from Lisa Casale (Bob’s wife):

Thanks to all of you who have been there for Alex, Sam, and I during this difficult time.

Bob’s sudden passing was a shock to us all, but your love, prayers, and generous donations have helped us push forward. Although the last few weeks have been very difficult for us, our spirits were lifted when we saw so many wonderful online posts and emails from fans who have interacted with Bob in some way over the years, and who all remembered the same qualities about him: Warm & Friendly. Just wanted to finally reach out to you all. Thank you, Thank you! — Love, Lisa, Alex, and Samantha / The Casale Family
