Why DEVO hasn’t played this city in over 40 years

DEVO hasn’t played a gig in St. Louis since it’s very early days. There is even a song titled, “The last time I saw St. Louis”, floating around on you tube.
I am curious as to the origins of the song and and why DEVO has not played a gig in St. Louis in so long.

Bosphorus

I was cruising Spotify today and a “new release from DEVO” came up that turned out to be a song from a Turkish rap group. Devo was partially credited for it. Did you guys have anything to do with it? It sounds cool but not particularly DEVO, except maybe for the rhythm.

Rod Rooter total segment?

Avast, Spuds! I’ve seen the Rod segment with Laraine Newman, where he talks big about Numero Uno and wonders why you can’t shape up and shift more units…and I’ve also seen the segment where you’re in the secret spud-lair with the silver protecto-masks. I’ve only recently found an extended scene with Rod in his office, where “Midget” is playing on a reel-to-reel. Is the entire video available anywhere? We must repeat+

We Are Not Tacos

The perfect nonexistent DEVO song was spoken today. “We Are Not Tacos”

Where did the New Traditionalist Astronaut come from?

Hi, I have admittedly only recently discovered the truth about de-evolition but I am finding your music very informative so far. I was wondering where the new traditionalist logo was from? Was it drawn especially for the tour or was it a picture that you guys repurposed? Is it meant to depict a specific person? Thanks!

Question about old Devo videos

Hi, I am a relatively new Devotee (a fact I am very proud of) and I just had a very simple question: would Devo ever consider restoring their music videos which were shot on film to a modern 4K standard?

Now I do understand that it isn’t exactly as easy as just grabbing the original film negatives and scanning them in HD, but personally as a film preservation/restoration nerd, I would really like to see Devo’s music videos in HD.

I also understand that for the music videos that Devo shot on tape, you can’t really do much with those in terms of restoration. after all with tape its technically stuck in a Standard Definition resolution forever as it’s a digital signal that cannot be altered.

But I would really enjoy such things as Truth about De-evolution, The Satisfaction Video, and The Whip It video in glorious 4K resolution.

Thank you for your time and duty now for the future!

I Luv Ur Gun & Spotify

A Pretty straightforward question
