April 17th was national Record Store Day, on the same days as DEVO’s show at Coachella. The vinyl 12″ release of FRESH was released that day, and was available at a pop-up record store on the grounds of Coachella. Backstage: This gift was already backstage when we arrived at Coachella early in the day. It’s from Zach Leary, son of Timothy Leary. Zach was on the cover of DEVO’s “Shout” album….and he recreated the cover using an updated 2010 photo of himself. We thought it was brilliant, and DEVO really appreciated the gift. Thank you, Zach!
